From February 14 to 16, 2024, our sales team had the opportunity to participate in the A&T – Automation & Testing exhibition held in Turin, Italy.
Numerous people visited us and just as many people asked our colleagues about the products on display.
The exhibition event, which to date is in its 18th edition, is recognized for its innovative format that integrates the exhibition part with a “visionary but practical” Training and Refresher Program designed for the needs of Companies, of all sizes.
The claim of the event is “from the ideal to the feasible” as the goal of A&T is to offer concrete answers to the needs of Italian Companies engaged in facing the competitive challenges of new production and business models, from an industry 4.0 perspective.
We at Sipi are happy to have participated in an event that aims to contribute to the spread of the culture of reliability, quality, safety and innovation.
The products we exhibited, and therefore those who visited us were able to view in operation, were:
1. SIPI SERIES PARCELSCAN 110 TS
Our Parcelscan 110 TS calculates the data (height, width, length, and weight) of regular shaped parcels such as boxes, packages, and books, in a single measurement, with the ability to transmit and print the measured data.
Available in desktop version or equipped with pivoting wheels to move it easily, it can be upgraded by some accessories such as barcode reader, camera, wifi connection and thermal printer. Operations are guided by a graphic touch screen display and dedicated software. Detected data are stored and are ready to be sent to the company management system.
2. SIPI SERIES PARCELSCAN 120-3D
The Parcelscan 120 3D system is designed to automatically detect barcodes, weight, dimensions and photos of regular and irregularly shaped packages. Thanks to the 3D camera positioned perpendicular to the platform, data can be detected and stored simply by placing the parcel on the weighing platform without the need to approach the edge. Detected data are thus stored and are available to be sent to the company’s management system. The system is also able to check whether the upper platform can be used as a shelf for other packages (stackability).
3. AUTOMATIC CHECKWEIGHER
Automatic checkweigher checkweighing systems allow product to be checked and sorted according to its weight. They are high-performance systems (over 400 pieces per minute) and can be equipped with special air or buffer devices to eject packages out of weight tolerance These systems can also be integrated with metal detector and/or ray devices to check for the presence of foreign materials inside the product
Our checkweighing systems are designed to handle all types of products and packages-bags, pouches, cans, trays, cartons-and are suitable for even the most demanding production environments.
4. DIVERTER SE 720
The SIPI Diverter is designed to be integrated into automated Sorting Plants, both in logistics and order preparation plants.
The study of the Diverter SIPI 720 Series was carried out considering the often heavy-duty activities within logistics and order preparation plants, where high production speed is required.
In both cases, handling of packages is required, ranging from plastic bags of limited weight, to packages of considerable weight and size, which are not always packed adequately.
