Services

Customer care is one of SIPI’s priorities, not only during the sale, but also afterwards.

Maintenance contracts are granted on hardware and software, by on-site or remote assistance, according to the requests.
To meet all customer needs SIPI also offers rental services for piece-counting equipment, scales or platforms, to carry out warehouse inventories.

SIPI can count on its own metrological and electromagnetic compatibility laboratory for tests and measurements, in accordance with the current regulations.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL

SIPI can rent scales, platforms and piece-counting systems, which are always available in its warehouse, for customers who need to perform end-of-year inventory or for other needs.

TESTS AND MEASUREMENTS LABORATORY

SIPI has a metrological and electromagnetic compatibility laboratory equipped with an anechoic room, in which the following activities are carried out.

  • Tests and measurements in accordance with the main international standards.
  • Tests to check the maximum parameters of equipment.
  • Control and calibration of instrumentation for electrical and electronic measurements with reference to international primary standards.
  • EC certification or pre-qualification testing of products.

Companies under self-certification process can ensure that products are in compliance with general and product reference standards.

CALIBRATION OF THE INSTRUMENTS

SIPI has certified sample-weights that are used for the following purposes:

  • Testing and verification of weighing systems and weighbridges up to 80 ton
  • Rent of sample-weights for periodic testing and verification
  • Instrumentation control (ISO 9000 calibration) for electrical parameters
  • Electrical safety tests (Test / Measurement fields)
  • Sample-weights check (Test / Measurement fields)

METROLOGICAL SERVICE

SIPI technical staff assigned to Metrological Service is available for assistance on the submission of new applications for CE-M Type Approval and Test Certificates.

TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE SERVICE AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

SIPI provides a team of skilled staff for installation and after-sales support, during the warranty period and through customized maintenance contracts.

6.

CALIBRATION AND ISSUE OF TEST REPORTS

The purpose of this particular activity is to determine the error of a specific weighing instrument and to issue the ‘test report’, which is a document required by the quality system in accordance with the current metrological regulations, in compliance with European Standard EN 45501 (metrological aspects of non-automatic weighing instruments).
Periodically checked mass samples are used, according to the internal procedure IOP11.1, with reference to first-line samples in class F1 with SIT calibration certificate.

SIPI provides phone support on contract to customers for assistance in resolving hardware-software issues.
